‘Suspicious’ Death Of Woman Probed In Burlington: State Police

The victim has been identified as a 26-year-old, according to state police.

BURLINGTON, CT — State police are investigating the untimely and “suspicious” death of a 26-year-old Massachusetts woman.

Troop L responded to the area of Claire Hill Road in Burlington on Sunday around 11:16 p.m. to investigate, according to state police.

The deceased woman has been identified as Janina Brooke Murphy of Marlborough, Mass., state police said.

The Western District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene and has assumed the investigation.

The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said Wednesday the woman’s cause and manner of death are “pending further investigation.”
