AT&T compiles list of perfect Halloween mobile apps

Halloween is right around the corner, and AT&T wants to help you find ways to have fun, stay safe, and join in on the fall festivities!

Parents love the AT&T Family Map App. This app is here to help with a virtual map that lets you monitor where your children have been and where they are going. It provides real-time locations and a list of daily travels and location history. Perfect for trick-or-treating!

Life360 is another app that helps eliminate “Where are you?” texts, and provides an easy way to check in with the most important people in your life. When you create a personalized group, called “Circles,” of family members, you can stay connected to each group member throughout their travels, in real-time. Even set up alerts when group members arrive at each location, so you know when your teen gets to that costume party!

MamaBear will monitor your teen’s driving speed on a night when the roads tend to be busier than usual, to ensure safe travels. This app also connects to social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, so you can see just how much fun they’re having.

Want your house to be the spookiest on the block? Don’t forget the wireless remote for your fog machine…with just the push of a button, you can set a haunting scene that will be sure to scare trick-or-treaters and party-goers alike!

If you’re feeling inspired and decide to design your own costume this year, an app like Craftsy will be your best friend. With step-by-step instructions, you can learn how to quilt, knit, sew, and even bake (for a much-needed energy boost while making costumes!)

Fall Fun and Foliage Findings…

Whether you live in a state with great foliage, or just want to soak up the last bits of the season before winter arrives, the app AllTrails has you covered. It has over 50,000 trail maps, nationwide, and lets you track your hike. This is definitely a great way to bring technology outdoors!

For all of you New Englanders, Yankee Magazine has created an app called Leaf Peepr, that lets you see where the leaves are in peak form for some great foliage photos, and even update a status to let others know about the fall foliage in your neck of the woods!
