Town-By-Town Snow Totals For CT, And Here's How Much More Snow Is Forecast

The entire state of Connecticut has been buried beneath Old Man Winter's last gasp. How much snow did your town get?

CONNECTICUT — Residents awoke Tuesday morning to the sound of snow plows barreling down their block, as they prepare to shovel out from the first snowfall of the season to blanket every part of the state.

Previous storms danced around Connecticut, often whacking northern and eastern towns while managing to miss most of Fairfield and the southwestern cities. Not so this time.

  • Hartford/Tolland/Windham County: A winter storm warning has been cancelled and replaced by a winter weather advisory. Snow and freezing drizzle. Additional snow accumulations of a coating to up to 2 inches.
  • Coastal towns along southern Connecticut: A winter storm warning expires at 10 a.m. Total storm snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches.
  • Interior sections of southern Connecticut: A winter storm warning is in effect until 3 p.m. Total storm snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches.
  • Litchfield County: A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. A winter storm warning is cancelled. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

Next storm emerges?

It's early, but it looks like there may be another storm emerging on Friday. This one appears to be more of a mixed precipitation storm, with both snow and rain currently forecast. The precipitation could continue into Saturday, the weather service said.
