Train Derails, Closes Road In Jewett City: State Police

JEWETT CITY, CT — A train derailed in Jewett City on Tuesday afternoon, according to a Facebook post from state police.

Troop E Montville posted the following:

"The Jewett City Resident Trooper and Troopers from Troop E have responded to a train derailment in the area of South Main St. and Railroad Ave. in Jewett City. No injuries have been reported but South Main St. is closed and traffic delays should be expected."
