STORRS, CT — For the second time in two days, the University of Connecticut women's basketball team has had a game called off because of a positive coronavirus test affecting an opponent.

Wednesday's announcement was the postponement of the Jan. 13 game at Xavier. Xavier announced a "pause to team activities due to contact tracing," according to UConn officials.

A makeup date will be announced at a later time, UConn officials said.

UConn's game scheduled for Thursday at Baylor has been canceled due to a positive coronavirus test within the Baylor women's basketball program.

The next scheduled game for the Huskies (6-0 overall and 5-0 in the Big East ) is with Providence (4-6, 2-3) Saturday at 1 p.m. at Gampel Pavilion.
