Victims ID'd After 2 Killed In Fiery Burlington Car Crash

The driver and the passenger who were killed on Johnnycake Mountain Road on the night of Oct. 12 have been identified.

BURLINGTON, CT — The driver and passenger who were killed in a car crash in Burlington earlier this month have been identified, state police announced Monday night.

Tiffany M. Cormier, 39, of Bristol was driving a 2012 Ford Taurus on Johnnycake Mountain Road at 11:09 p.m. Oct. 12 with Russell Bunn, 59, of Bristol as her passenger when her vehicle veered onto the right shoulder then struck a mailbox and a tree, according to police.

The car became fully engulfed in flames and Both Cormier and Bunn died at the scene, police added.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing and police are urging witnesses or anyone with relevant information to email Trooper Domenic Dinunzio at Domenic.Dinunzio@ct.gov.
