High Wind Warning, Power Outages, Travel Problems In CT Monday

Here is a live look at power outages in Connecticut this morning along with traffic conditions as we head back to work.

(Patch graphic )

A High Wind Warning is in effect for all of Connecticut Monday and some locations are reporting strong snow squalls this morning. We can expect the wind to be between 2o to 30 mph all day with occasional gusts up to 60 mph. Nearly 10,000 Connecticut residents are without power as of 11:30 a.m. Monday. Numerous trees are down all over the state.

Besides the wind, the story this work week will be the cold as temps will be running 10 to 15 degrees below where they should be for this time of year. Connecticut may see some snow Wednesday afternoon and evening and more snow on Friday that will change to sleet and rain and possibly end as more snow Saturday. There is a chance that we could see a couple inches of snow late Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says, we can expect "strong, damaging winds" today, and it will also be a bit windy on Tuesday too.
