Wells Fargo Closing Pair Of Connecticut Branches This Summer
Wells Fargo has designated two Connecticut branches for closure, but will still have a sizable presence in the Nutmeg State.
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, CT — Wells Fargo is closing two bank branches this summer at two corners of Fairfield County.
The announcements were made this week and both branches are slated to be shuttered at noon on July 26, bank officials said.

- Darien at 950 Post Road
- Danbury at 108 Mill Plain Road
"Wells Fargo made the difficult decision to close our Danbury Mill Plain and Darien bank branches," officials for the financial institution said in a statement released this week. "We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause, and customers can continue to bank with us at our other nearby locations."
The closest locations are the Danbury North Street Shopping Center branch on Padanaram Road, approximately 3.45 miles away from the doomed Danbury branch and the Norwalk Post Road branch, approximately a mile-and-a-half away from the Post Road branch and the Noroton Heights branch at 310 Heights Road, approximately 1.6 miles away from the Post Road branch.

"Branches continue to play an important role in the way we serve our customers, and we continuously evaluate our branch network in light of changing customer needs, the increase in the use of digital banking, market factors, and economic trends," Wells Fargo officials said.
Wells Fargo ATMs and branches can be accessed via the ATMs/Locations link at wellsfargo.com, or via the Wells Fargo Mobile app.
Wells Fargo Bank currently operates with 56 branches in 43 different cities and towns in Connecticut. The bank also has 4,543 additional locations in 36 states.
