Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?
She loves the special education population. She's taught profoundly disabled children as well as mainstream Special Ed students. She worked for many summers as a camp counselor at Camp "Q" special needs camp. She still stays in touch with the campers each year by counseling the alumni week.
