Woman Assaulted, Robbed While Pumping Gas: Ansonia Police

ANSONIA, CT — A woman was robbed at gunpoint while she was pumping gas at Cumberland Farms in Ansonia early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police responded to the parking lot of Cumberland Farms on Pershing Drive around 4 a.m. on Dec. 27 on the report of an armed robbery.
The victim was assaulted and robbed by several suspects who were operating a stolen vehicle, according to police.

Police said at least one of the suspects was armed with a gun. The suspects left in the stolen vehicle after the incident.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene, according to police.

The stolen vehicle was later found by the Bridgeport Auto Theft Task Force in Bridgeport, police said. The vehicle was seized by Ansonia detectives and several possible suspects have been identified, according to police.
