AVON, CT — A big name in the national literary scene will be in Avon this week to discuss his latest work.
Author Peter Abrahams, who writes under the pen name Spencer Quinn, will visit the Avon Free Public Library on Tuesday, April 28, to discuss and sign copies of his latest novel, "Cat on a Hot Tin Woof."
The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the library’s Community Room, 281 Country Club Road, and it is open to the public with advance registration.
"Cat on a Hot Tin Woof" is the newest installment in Quinn’s "Chet & Bernie" mystery series.
The books follow dog narrator Chet and his human partner, private investigator Bernie Little.
In the latest story, the pair search for a missing internet-famous cat named Miss Kitty, a case that escalates into a double murder investigation involving an unlikely witness: a pig.
Abrahams is an Edgar Award–winning author whose work includes the bestselling Chet & Bernie series as well as titles such as "Mrs. Plansky’s Revenge," "The Right Side," and "Oblivion."
He has also written the Bowser and Birdie series for younger readers.
His books have appeared on The New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists.
He lives on Cape Cod with his wife, Diana, and their dog, Dottie.
Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
