AVON, CT — The Town of Avon is accepting applications from nonprofit organizations for its Support for Community Events Grant Program, which provides funding for local festivals, special events and community programs.
Town officials said eligible events must take place between July 1 and Oct. 31, 2026. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 28.
According to the town, the grant program is intended to support recreational and cultural opportunities for residents while promoting community engagement in Avon.
Application materials and program regulations are available through the Town of Avon.
Officials encouraged applicants to review eligibility requirements before submitting materials.
Town officials said applications are expected to be reviewed by a staff committee before recommendations are sent to the Avon Town Council for consideration at its June 4 regular meeting.
The town also released the anticipated timeline for the next grant cycle covering events scheduled between Nov. 1, 2026, and Feb. 28, 2027.
Applications for that round are expected to open July 27, with a submission deadline of Aug. 28 and anticipated Town Council approval on Oct. 1.
