Avon Goes Into Summer Mode Next Week

AVON, CT — Avon Town Hall offices will begin operating under a summer schedule on Monday, June 22, with modified hours remaining in effect through Friday, Aug. 28.

Under the summer schedule, town hall will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Town offices will close at 12:30 p.m. on the following Fridays during the summer schedule:

• June 26
• July 10, 17, 24 and 31
• Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28

Town officials noted that municipal offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

An exception to the summer schedule will apply to the Avon Tax Collector's Office on Friday, July 31. That office will remain open until 2 p.m.

Residents planning to conduct business at Avon Town Hall are encouraged to take note of the adjusted hours and schedule appointments or visits accordingly during the summer months.
