Avon Tax Bills Mailed, First Payments Due July 1

AVON, CT — The Town of Avon has mailed property tax bills for the 2025 Grand List, with first installment payments due July 1 for the 2026-27 fiscal year.

According to the Office of the Collector of Revenue, tax bills were mailed on June 24 and are also available online.

The first installment for real estate taxes is due July 1, with the second installment due Jan. 1, 2027. Real estate tax bills totaling less than $100 are due in a single payment on July 1.

Motor vehicle and personal property tax bills are also due July 1.

The town said payments due July 1 will be considered on time if they are received or postmarked by Aug. 3, 2026.

Residents have several payment options, including paying online by credit card, debit card, or electronic check.

Electronic check payments carry a 95-cent processing fee.

Payments may also be mailed using the enclosed return envelope to the town's Webster Bank lockbox, mailed directly to Avon Town Hall at 60 West Main St., Building 2, placed in the secure drop box near the parking lot, or made in person by cash or check at the Revenue Office.

Residents paying in person are asked to bring their payment stubs.

The Revenue Office is operating on its summer schedule of 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday.
