AVON/SIMSBURY/FARMINGTON, CT — Teens from Avon, Simsbury and Farmington will face off in a friendly afternoon of water-themed games later this month during the Avon Free Public Library's annual "Water Wars."
The event is scheduled for Friday, July 24, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on the library lawn and is open to students entering seventh grade through graduating seniors.
Participants will compete in activities including a water gun fight, a water balloon toss, a dunk tank, and other games.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring drinking water, sunscreen, and a snack.
The event requires advance registration, and library officials said space is limited.
