AVON, CT — The Town of Avon is encouraging residents to capture their favorite local scenes this summer and submit them for possible use in town publications.
Through its "Photo Call" initiative, the town is inviting photographers of all skill levels to share images that highlight Avon's landscapes, landmarks, wildlife and community.
According to the town, submitted photos may be featured on Avon's website, social media channels or in print publications.
The submission process involves three steps:
Town officials said they are looking for creative perspectives that showcase "the best of Avon," including landscapes, landmarks, flora and fauna, community spirit and other scenes that reflect town life.
In promoting the initiative, the town encouraged residents to take advantage of the summer season.
"Long summer days are here — keep your camera (phone) ready!" the town wrote. "We can't wait to see Avon through your lens!"
