AVON, CT — Families are invited to enjoy a free outdoor movie night this week as the Avon Recreation and Parks Department presents a screening of Disney-Pixar's "Ratatouille."
The movie will be shown on Friday, July 31, at Sycamore Hills Recreation Area in Avon. The film will begin at dusk, approximately 8:15 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for an evening under the stars.
The first 30 children to arrive will receive a Ratatouille-themed gift, courtesy of Jennifer at Allstate in Avon.
In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be moved indoors to the Avon Senior Center and will begin at 7 p.m.
The event is free and open to the community.
