AVON, CT — The Avon Pet Pantry is closed for August, but residents who need pet food or supplies can arrange to receive them, according to the town.

Residents seeking assistance should leave a message for Animal Control Officer Angela Grano at 860-673-0297 to arrange for needed food or supplies during the closure.

The Avon Pet Pantry provides pet food and other supplies to local pet owners experiencing financial hardship, according to the town.

The program is intended to help residents continue feeding and caring for their animals during periods of economic insecurity.

The Avon Pet Pantry also accepts financial contributions and donations of pet food and care items.

Monetary donations can be made electronically through PayPal. Checks payable to the Avon Pet Pantry can be dropped off or mailed to the Avon Department of Social Services, 60 West Main St., Avon, CT 06001.
