AVON, CT — Playhouse 44, Avon's nonprofit community theater and performing arts group, is seeking a secretary for its board of directors as the organization plans for future growth.
The group said it is looking for someone comfortable with administrative duties, clerical management, and communications.
The position is expected to require about one to two hours of work per month after an initial period of getting acclimated.
Most of the work can be completed remotely, with three or four in-person board meetings expected each year, according to Playhouse 44.
The organization has produced 10 events since summer 2024, including plays, concerts, music and comedy revues and storytelling nights.
Its next production, an original comedy titled "The Elements of God," is scheduled for October at Avon Town Hall.
Playhouse 44 said adding help to its leadership team will be important as it pursues plans for 2027 and beyond.
"Be part of an engaging, enthusiastic, and very friendly team," the group said. "We will need more help if we're to follow through on our ambitious plans for 2027 and beyond."
Playhouse 44 is also seeking volunteers interested in helping with fundraising.
People interested in the board secretary position can contact the organization at info@playhouse44.org.
