Take A Hike! Avon To Host Family-Friendly Hike This Weekend

AVON, CT — The Avon Land Trust and Avon Recreation & Parks are teaming up Saturday for a family-friendly hike through Town Forest Park.

The 3-mile hike is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon, with participants asked to arrive by 9:45 a.m.

Organizers describe the outing as a chance for families and other residents to explore some of the Farmington Valley's trails while spending time outdoors.

The hike will take place at Town Forest Park on Town Forest Road in Simsbury.

Participants are encouraged to bring appropriate footwear and water.

Advance registration is requested through Avon Recreation & Parks.
