AVON, CT — Visitors to the Avon Senior Center will need to use an alternate entrance this week as sidewalk repairs temporarily close the building's main entrance.
The front entrance will be closed from Monday, Oct. 19, through Friday, Oct. 23, as crews complete sidewalk repairs associated with the Avon Senior Center Improvements Project, according to a town announcement.
During the construction period, visitors should use the entrance on the west side of the building.
Town officials also recommend parking in the lot closest to the west-side entrance to make accessing the building easier.
The front entrance will remain inaccessible while repairs are underway.
Officials said the construction schedule could be extended because of inclement weather.
The town plans to provide updates if work is delayed and when the sidewalk improvements are completed and the front entrance reopens.
Residents with questions can contact the Avon Senior Center at 860-675-4355.
