AVON, CT — The Town of Avon has launched a new Community Resource Guide designed to help older adults and residents of all ages find local services, programs, and support resources.
The guide, available online at www.avonct.gov/agewell, was developed in collaboration with older residents and is intended to make community resources easier to access, town officials announced.
The initiative is part of Avon's efforts to help residents remain connected to their community and access services as they age.
Town officials said the guide was developed using the Connecticut Age Well Collaborative's livability framework, which focuses on creating communities that support residents throughout their lives.
The resource guide is intended to serve residents of all ages, not just older adults.
According to the town, the guide will be updated as additional services, programs, and opportunities become available.
The project also reflects Avon's efforts to strengthen community connections and improve access to local resources.
Residents can access the Community Resource Guide at www.avonct.gov/agewell. Additional information about the Connecticut Age Well Collaborative, which provided the framework used to develop the guide, is available at www.ctagewellcollaborative.org.
