AVON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Inspired to excel, 788 members of Bryant University's Class of 2018, including three from Avon, were awarded a Bryant degree at the University's 155th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18. Alejandra Jaramillo graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business. Daniel Presch graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Management. Matthew Reagan graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Finance.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Select students have been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Honorees from Avon are Ryan Donohue, Chloe Knopf, Paige Lombardi and Olivia Smith.

Tufts University, Medford MA

• More than 3,700 students graduated from Tufts University on May 20 during a university-wide commencement ceremony that featured the awarding of honorary degrees to a number of academic, business and civic leaders making a positive impact on the world. The graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Engineering included four students from Avon: Abbie Gantner with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (BS) Summa Cum Laude, Stephanie Evans with a Bachelor's degree in Music (BA) Summa Cum Laude, Sophie Greenebaum with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Clinical (BA) Magna Cum Laude, and Sara Stokesbury with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics (BA) Cum Laude.
• Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the spring 2018 semester. Avon students earning dean's list honors were Ryan Albanesi, Stephanie Evans, James Grant, Sophie Greenebaum, Matteo Memmo, Robert Nardella, Sara Stokesbury, Michael Thramann and Alec Whipple. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
