Founded in 1992, Autism Care Partners delivers behavioral therapy to individuals on the autism spectrum.
It provides diagnostic evaluations, early intervention services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, social work and other services to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.
Avon's location is the provider's second site in Connecticut, with another one already located in Berlin at 279 New Britain Road, Suite No. 5. It operates locations in seven states, all in the northeastern U.S.
In addition to offering interdisciplinary care, families can access early diagnostic evaluations for autism within the Avon center, according to ACP.
“There is an increasing concern regarding the delay in accurately identifying Autism. I receive many referrals for a diagnostic evaluation of teens who were diagnosed with other conditions at a very young age and were not able to receive appropriate supports," said Salli Shon, a licensed clinical social worker and behavorial analyst with ACP.
"It is my endeavor to provide treatment as early as possible. This will mean working together as a community to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely intervention. It’s a privilege to be a part of all this.“
“With the increasing prevalence of (autism spectrum disorder) diagnoses, we are grateful to be part of the solution for Connecticut families by increasing access to evidence-based, interdisciplinary care,” said Dr. Andrea Lavigne, ACP's chief of regional service delivery.
