Avon Announces America 250 Scholarships

AVON, CT — Avon Dollars for Scholars has announced a new $2,500 scholarship tied to the town’s Avon 250 celebrations, part of the nationwide America 250 commemorations.

The application deadline is June 1.

The organization said the Commemorative Avon 250 Scholarship is open to graduating seniors in the classes of 2026 and 2027. Eligible applicants must either graduate from Avon High School or be Avon residents.

According to the announcement, the scholarship is intended to recognize the community’s participation in the Avon 250 festivities taking place this year as part of the broader America 250 celebration.

Applications are available online through the organization’s scholarship portal.
