The Avon Arts Association Spring Show at the Simsbury Library opened on June 3rd in the Library’s main Program Room and the lower level entrance hallway. Fifty works of art from 32 artist members will be on display until June 30th. There are landscapes, still lifes and portraits done in both realistic and abstract styles, using oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, charcoal and photography. Also on display until June 12 are extraordinary examples of art from our scholarship recipients for 2016. It’s a celebration of art! The library is open Mon. - Thurs. - 9:30 - 8:30, Friday - 9:30 - 5:30, Saturday - 9:30 - 5:30 and Sunday - 1:00 - 5:00. Join us for an artists’ reception on Sunday, June 12 from 2 – 4 pm.
