Avon Athletic Complex Could Cost as Much as $5 Million

Avon’s proposed athletic complex could cost anywhere between about $3.75 million and $5 million.

The Thompson Road Athletic Complex Committee met Tuesday night to discuss the project, the Hartford Courant reports.

The committee pushed back its presentation to the town council, which it had originally hoped would happen at the council’s Oct. 2 meeting.

The complex will have two playing fields; one will be natural grass and the other synthetic turf, along with seating for up to 1,000 people.
