Avon BurgerFi to Feature 'Plant-Based' Burger

BurgerFi will launch its new "plant-based burger" next month.

AVON, CT — BurgerFi is taking what officials from the restaurant chair are calling "a giant leap into the future of plant-based protein" by offering "The Beyond Burger."

The burger is set to launch at all BurgerFi locations nationwide on Monday, Sept. 4 after a successful test in eight of its restaurants.

BurgerFi officials said the company will be the first national fast-casual burger-chain in the country to serve the "revolutionary burger."

The Beyond Burger is a "generously-sized, single patty," topped with pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup and American cheese, according to BurgerFi officials. A vegan option will also be available without mayonnaise and cheese and served in a lettuce wrap, according to BurgerFi officials

"The Beyond Burger is a breakthrough product that allows meat eaters and vegans alike to enjoy the juicy, chin dribbling burger eating experience they crave, but with the added health and environmental benefits of plant-based protein," according to BurgerFi officials.

Created by Beyond Meat, The Beyond Burger is a plant-based burger that tastes like its beef burger counterpart, according to BurgerFi officials.
