Avon-Canton Rotary Golf Tourney To Benefit Many Causes

AVON/CANTON, CT — The Avon-Canton Rotary is seeking duffers and scratch players alike to participate in its annual fundraising golf tournament next month.

The Avon-Canton Rotary Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, Sept. 9.

The money raised makes up about 80 percent of the club's annual giving budget.

The tournament is on Monday, Sept. 9, at the Golf Club of Avon, 160 Country Club Road, Avon.

Check-in starts at 10 a.m. and the event starts at noon with a "shotgun" start, meaning groups start at holes 1-18 at the same time.

Registration is $250 a player and $1,000 for a foursome.

Among the charities benefitting from the Avon-Canton Rotary are Gifts of Love, Healing Meals, Veterans Base Camp, Habitat for Humanity, Dress for Success, FAVARH, Avon & Canton fuel banks, food banks, & substance free graduation parties, FOCUS Center for Autism, Underground New England and more.
