Avon Church To Host Free Covid-19 Vax Clinic

The church is partnering with the state in offering potentially life-saving vaccines on Thursday.

AVON, CT — Those looking to vax up against a highly contagious illness and, possibly, avoid a visit to the hospital (or worse) might want to visit a local church this week.

The Avon Congregational Church is partnering with the Connecticut Department of Public Health to "help reduce barriers to vaccination across the state," according to an announcement Tuesday morning.

As a result, the church at 6 W. Main St., Avon, will host a free walk-in Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment needed.
