Avon Church's Chocolate-Theme Fundraiser Rescheduled

AVON, CT — Mother Nature may have forced the postponement of a music and chocolate fundraiser at an Avon church on Sunday.

So, as a result, folks will be able to enjoy sweet music and sweet eats at a new date and time.

The Avon Congregational Church has rescheduled its "For The Love of Song and Chocolate!" event to Sunday, Feb. 23, at 3 p.m.

"Please share this message and plan to come with friends, family and neighbors," wrote event organizers on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

It will be a "delightful afternoon" including a concert of love songs and sing-alongs from the Great American Songbook and Broadway.

The music will then be followed by a "bountiful chocolate buffet." The chocolate buffet may have chocolate-craving folks acting like this when they see what is available.

The cost is $15/adult, $7/children, pay at the door, cash or check only. No reservations are necessary.
