Avon Continues to Roll in Girls Volleyball State Tournament Play

AVON, CT — Seeking its first-ever state championship, the Avon High School girls volleyball team took another big step by shutting out Jonathan Law 3-0 Thursday.

Game scores were 25-15, 25-20 and 25-23.

The Falcons, seeded sixth in Class L, advance to the quarterfinals, and will travel to Redding to face No. 3 Joel Barlow Saturday at 6 p.m.
