Avon Council Wants Input On Traffic Safety Worries
The Avon Town Council is hosting a special forum Wednesday night at the Avon Senior Center.

AVON, CT — Talk of area roadways becoming more and more dangerous to drivers and pedestrians has been a common refrain in town and in neighboring communities.
For whatever reason, folks are reporting a preponderance of crashes and near misses that are doing more than bending fenders, they're jeopardizing safety.
The Avon Town Council on Wednesday is hosting a special, in-person forum at the Avon Senior Center, 635 W. Avon Road, to discuss this problem.

It will take place at 7:15 p.m. and "Community Forum to Address Traffic Safety Issues In Avon" is the lone agenda item before adjournment.
A similar forum hosted by a local activist was planned last August, one that would have included local town and police officials, among other decision makers, but it was canceled at the last moment.
