Avon Event Aims To Boost Garden Pollinators (Like Bees)

The Avon Land Trust and partners will host a Saturday, March 28, event on pollinator-friendly gardening.

AVON, CT — Residents interested in supporting pollinators can attend a community event hosted by the Avon Land Trust in partnership with the Garden Club of Avon and Avon Recreation & Parks.

The program, titled “Pollinators in Your Garden,” will take place Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Countryside Park.

Additional parking will be available at nearby Buckingham Park.

The presentation will be led by Lisa Newell, an ambassador for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.

Organizers said the talk will focus on practical ways residents can improve pollinator populations in their own gardens.
