AVON, CT — A local parent group that encourages a more inclusive school culture in town is hosting a special community forum Wednesday, May 31, toward that end.

Avon Friends for Equity is hosting a "celebration" of its recent community dialogue series, in which community members gathered multiple times in recent months to discuss the issue.

Called the "Avon Aspires Community Dialogues," the discussions on issues of racial and gender diversity in the schools were attended by 50 plus people who worked more than 2,000 cumulative man hours to come up with ideas to achieve those goals, according to AFE.
