Avon Gas Station Sells Winning Lottery Game To Windsor Resident

AVON/WINDSOR, CT—One Windsor resident's recent trip to an Avon gas station netted much more than a fueled-up vehicle.

It earned the person a nice, $15,000 payout late last week.

That is the amount won via a friendly game of KENO, according to the Connecticut Lottery Corp.

Lottery officials said the winning KENO numbers game ticket was purchased Friday, Feb. 28, at the Shell gas station located at 80 E. Main St., Avon.

KENO is a progressive numbers game where the ultimate prize is dependent on the amount paid, with KENO games being anywhere from $1 to $20 to play.
