Avon High Intership Program On Display At Special Event

AVON, CT — Avon High School next week will showcase an important student program that gives its participants an inside look at potential careers.

"Achieve," AHS' student internship program, matches students with community employers, offering them a sneak peak at what they might want to do when they're done with classes.

On Tuesday, May 16, AHS invites the community, especially prospective interns, to meet with participants in the winter and spring.

The showcase is from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at AHS.

Among the organizations taking in AHS interns this past spring and winter were CNC Software Inc., Hartford Healthcare, The Hospital of Central Connecticut, QA + M Architecture and many others.
