Avon High School Booster Club Fund $22k Worth of Equipment Purchases

The booster club is funding nine capital requests for various teams.

The Avon High School Booster Club voted earlier in the week to fund nine capital requested submitted by Avon High School athletic teams.

The booster club is a volunteer non-profit club that helps support athletics at the school. The following will be purchased and installed this year. The equipment is worth more than $22,000.

•Soccer (Boys and Girls)

Covered Benches for Field #2 Fisher Meadows (in conjunction with donations from the Avon

Soccer and Farmington Valley Soccer Clubs)

•Crew (Co-ed)

3 Cox Box headsets; 3 Cox Box chargers; 1 aluminum jon boat & trailer;

one boat mountable tripod

•Volleyball (Girls)

One Scorer’s table

• Lacrosse (Boys)

One camcorder with accessories

•Golf (Girls)

2 Indoor hitting nets and 2 indoor hitting mats

•Baseball

One pitching machine

•Swimming (Co-ed)

8 stopwatches; 6 lap counters; 2 diving score cards

•Basketball (Boys)

Set of 20 kettlebells and shooting tool

•General/AD

Kettlebells and bumper plates for the weight room
