Avon High School Turf Project Begins

AVON, CT - On April 22nd, work will begin on the Avon High School Synthetic Turf Field & Track Improvement Project. The project includes the replacement of the existing natural grass field and six lane track with a synthetic turf field and an eight lane track. Construction is expected to last approximately four months, concluding in late August 2019. Town staff and the project’s Building Committee are closely coordinating with the Contractor to minimize disruption to the public during construction, however drivers may experience temporary, localized delays on West Avon Road as work progresses. Please also be advised that the track will be closed to users for the duration of construction.
