AVON, CT —The latest edition of the Avon Historical Society's "Avon Talks" local history podcast will look at an all-volunteer agency in town charged with saving lives and property.
The Avon Volunteer Fire Department, with its four stations and almost 200 members, is a completely volunteer-based organization serving the town’s needs for over half a century.
