Avon Hosting National Premiere of Film
Admission is free to the Oct. 21 screening in the Avon High School auditorium.

Five years ago, Avon brought the revolutionary film Race to Nowhere to Connecticut for its first screening. The film caused parents and educators to look critically at America’s high-stress, high-stakes education culture, and prompted lively, ongoing discussions.
This month, Avon High School is proud to be a host site for the national premiere of Beyond Measure, the follow-up film to the documentary sensation that people are still talking about. The new film explores how communities responded to Race to Nowhere with creative solutions to the challenges posed by the first film.
