AVON, CT — A local bicyclist/environmental organization is hosting a "Pollinator Planting Party" on Sunday in Avon to plant vegetation that will attract precious pollinator insects.

The event, hosted by Bike Walk Avon, will take place Sunday, April 28, at 9 a.m. at the Avon Department of Public Works trailhead parking lot at 11 Arch Road.

Guests are invited to bring gardening gloves, shovels, and their "whole family" for a fun day beautifying the trail area and, in the process, attracting pollinators who bring life to the area.
