Avon Kicks Off School Budget Discussions Wednesday

AVON, CT — A new year ... a new budget year for Avon schools.

The Avon Board of Education kicks off the long process toward a 2023-24 education spending plan by hosting its first budget workshop meeting of the new year.

The board will meet Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m. at Avon High School, 510 W. Avon Road, Avon.

It will be a basic agenda, with simply "discussion" of the proposed spending plan on the docket.

As the calendar shifts toward spring, the budget items will become more specific and numbers will be fine-tuned.
