Avon Library Featuring Local Holiday Art This Month

AVON, CT — The Avon Free Public Library is always nice, relaxing place to visit, with is diverse arrary of literature, programs and art.

But this month is an especially festive time to visit, as the library's art gallery has a distincive yuletide theme.

Featured for the month of December is the "Holiday Art Show" by the Avon Arts Association.

A recemption took place last weekend to officially kick of the exhibit, but folks are urged to visit and visit again to appreciate the display of multiple art mediums, all featuring the holiday season.

"Make a point to stop by and see all of the beautiful work on display by the many talented members," wrote the library, which is located at 281 Country Club Road, Avon, in an announcement.

The Avon Arts Association provides annual college scholarships to Farmington Valley graduating high school students who were selected for their exceptional artistic talents.

The Avon Arts Association is a 501 (c) (3) organization that promotes visual art in the Avon area by holding art exhibits, demonstrations and workshops.
