The program is called 'Finding the Peace Within Through Meditation.'

Avon Free Public Library

AVON, CT — How can we find inner peace within ourselves through meditation?

Find out what's happening in Avonfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

The answer to that question can be found on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. via a virtual Avon Free Public Library program called 'Finding the Peace Within Through Meditation."

Participants can join meditation expert Bruce Faithwick as he explores the aspect of going within rather than without.

He will discuss the blocking out of stressful triggers, finding peace by living in the current moment and all this is possible by incorporating a simple time-tested meditation technique.

There will even be a short meditation sitting.

This can help us achieve a lasting state of peace and happiness found through no outer experience.

Faithwick is a business consultant in the software industry with many years of product management and marketing experience.

In addition, he provides workshops and training to groups in the California area where he connects meditation and self-development to important aspects of our lives.

He has been meditating for more than 40 years and now focuses much of his time on his own personal development and in helping others who wish to do the same.
