Avon Library Program To Help Folks Meditate Toward Love

The virtual program is Thursday night, Feb. 16.

AVON, CT — Two days after Valentine's Day, the Avon Free Public Library is hosting a virtual program Thursday night, Feb. 16, that will teach folks how to love via meditation.

The 7 p.m. program is called "Connecting to the Love Within Through Meditation."

At that time, folks will be able to join longtime meditator Gaurav Singh "as he offers this engaging workshop on how to use the practice of meditation to incorporate more love and peace in your life which in turn will have a profound transformation on your overall well-being," wrote the library in an announcement.

With this progarm, participants will be able to "learn how to let go of anger, fear and worry in order to create more harmonious relationships, improve work and home environments and experience a deep sense of personal peace and love."

The workshop will include a short meditation session.

Gaurav is an experienced management consultant working as a senior manager with Ernst & Young.

In addition, Gaurav is also passionate about meditation and has been practicing it for more than 15 years.

He said he has used meditation as an anchor to find balance between his personal and professional life.

As a result, he has led many meditation workshops and retreats which has enabled him to speak firsthand about the role of meditation in enhancing the daily lives of busy people.
