Avon Library Program Helps Elderly Men Build Friendships

The library will host an Oct. 14 virtual discussion about a group helping retired men build friendships and connections.

The library will host a virtual program Wednesday, Oct. 14, exploring the origins and impact of Conversations and Camaraderie, known as C&C, a Tuesday morning discussion group that has expanded beyond Avon.

The program, titled "Meaningful Connections: C&C's Pathway to Human Potential and Friendship," will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. via Zoom.

According to the library, the group began with a simple request to meet at the library and has since developed into a regular gathering where retired men can connect, share experiences and develop friendships.

Visitors to the library on Tuesday mornings may have noticed members gathered in the atrium, engaged in conversations.
