Need Peace? Avon Library Program Can Deliver

Avon Free Public Library presents a new program next week that explores meditation.

AVON, CT — The Avon Free Public Library will host a program next week that will help folks journey into 2023 in a relaxed and peaceful frame of mind.

It is hosting "Start the New Year with Meditation" on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. at the library, which is located at 281 Country Club Road, Avon.

"The New Year is a time to create a clean slate. Join Bruce Faithwick, long time meditator for this powerful workshop," wrote the library in announcing the special program.

The Avon Library said Faithwick has been inspiring audiences on how to practice and learn this very simple technique which provides many benefits.

There will even be a little meditation sitting at the end.

Guests are asked to "bring joy, peace, positivity and relaxation into your daily life and begin the New Year with a fresh start."

Faithwick is a successful business consultant in the software industry and has many years of product management and marketing experience.

In addition, he has been meditating for over 40 years and now focuses much of his time on his own personal development and in helping others who wish to do the same.
