Avon Library's Huge Book Sale Has Good Literary Deals This Weekend
Proceeds from the three-day event Oct. 18-20 go to the Friends of the Avon Library, a booster organization for the library.

AVON, CT — With the weather chillier and the call of a warm fire, hot beverage and a good book becoming folks, the Avon Free Public Libraryhas the event for you.
The Friends of the Avon Library's annual Used Book sale will take place this weekend, with extremely good deals available for literature lovers of all ages.
It will take place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Oct. 18-20, at the Avon Free Public Library's community room, 281 Country Club Road, Avon.

This three-day fall sale will include adult fiction and nonfiction books, plus a selection of audio/visual materials as well.
This particular event is for adults, with a separate children’s and teen book sale taking place Oct. 26.

The sale's hours are:
• Friday, Oct. 18, 4 to 8 p.m. – Preview sale ($10 admission, free for Friends members).
• Saturday, Oct. 19 — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – No admission fee.
• Sunday, Oct. 20 — Noon to 3 p.m. – Bag sale ($10 per bag of books)
Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Avon Library, a nonprofit booster organization that helps fund library programs and other needs not funded in the regular budget.
