Avon Lingerie Store Robbed, Clerk Pepper-Sprayed
A woman used pepper spray on a clerk on her way out of the store after stealing merchandise, police said.

AVON, CT — Police are seeking a woman who stole merchandise from a Victoria's Secret store, then pepper-sprayed a store clerk before fleeing in a car driven by a man.
The incident happened around 1:02 p.m. at the store in the Avon Marketplace on 380 West Main Street. A black woman had entered the store and shoplifted some items, then was confronted by the clerk and used pepper spray, Lt. Kelly Walsh said.
The woman left the store and got into a silver or gray Nissan sedan driven by a black man, Walsh said.
